01 The story, in three paragraphs

Why everyone keeps coming back.

Situated in the heart of Pontianak, Anomali Coffee & Kitchen offers an exceptional coffee shop experience that beautifully blends Indonesia’s rich coffee heritage with a warm, inviting atmosphere. Whether you are a dedicated coffee aficionado or simply in search of a cozy spot to unwind, this café serves as a true sanctuary for lovers of expertly brewed coffee and comforting food.

The highlight here is undeniably their impressive selection of manual brewing single origin coffees. Sourced from famed Indonesian regions such as Sumatra, Aceh, Jawa, Bali, Flores, and Toraja, each cup offers a distinctive flavor profile—ranging from bold and earthy to bright and floral—that awakens your palate with every sip. For those looking to indulge in a rare treat, the Papua single origin coffee or the exclusive Golden Label elevate the tasting journey, presenting nuances that coffee enthusiasts will find both complex and memorable.

Beyond the artisanal brews, Anomali Coffee & Kitchen’s beverage menu offers familiar favorites with a refined touch. Delight in the smooth creaminess of their cappuccino or latte, or explore whimsical options such as the flavoured lattes infused with caramel, hazelnut, or vanilla. The Kopi Susu Gula Aren is a noteworthy Indonesian twist, blending the rich aroma of coffee with the sweet depth of palm sugar syrup—transporting your senses to the tropical heart of the archipelago.

Pair your drink with savory dishes that promise nourishment and comfort. Their pizza selection, from the elegantly simple Margherita to the indulgent Anomali Pizza loaded with mozzarella, dry chili, pulled beef, and sausage, invites you to savor each bite with harmonious layers of flavor. Pasta lovers will find delight in the Spaghetti Carbonara, with its creamy, egg-based sauce enriched with beef shortplate, or the Spaghetti Aglio E Olio featuring roasted prawn or chicken served alongside fragrant garlic bread—a perfect fusion of Italian technique and local taste.

Visitors consistently praise the ambiance: “the chillest vibes” with a relaxing mix of modern design and cozy seating that makes every visit feel like a special moment, whether meeting friends or enjoying a quiet afternoon. Large portions and attentive service underscore a commitment to customer satisfaction, making the café ideal for family outings or casual gatherings.

Patrons like Abigail Kristianti appreciate not only the “enakenak” flavors but also the generous serving sizes and comfortable setting, while Ridho Pratama recommends it for its “great brew and tasty food.” The café has also earned accolades for bringing a slice of Jakarta’s vibrant coffee culture to Pontianak, as noted by Adi Gangga, who remarks on the high-quality standard and unique menu offerings that stand out among local coffee shops.

Whether yearning for a perfectly extracted espresso shot, a comforting slice of cake, or a full meal to satisfy your cravings, Anomali Coffee & Kitchen in Pontianak promises an authentic Indonesian coffee journey paired with delicious, thoughtfully prepared dishes. It’s an inviting destination where passion for coffee and culinary excellence come beautifully together.

For anyone visiting Jl. Mujahidin No.4 in the Akcaya area of Pontianak Selatan, this coffee haven welcomes you to indulge in a blend of tradition, flavor, and warmth—making every visit genuinely memorable.

Bring National Brand in Town! The idea of having Anomali in Pontianak is like bringing Jakarta in Pontianak. Because I visited Anomali in Jakarta for the first time. I would say this place is generally more expensive than other local coffee shops (of which many are amazing places). We ordered americano & creamy pistachio. My friend liked his pistachio. We had pizza (with lots of cheese) but it wasn’t as tasty as I thought it would be. I like the type of pizza they make (thin dough). Overall, it is fine.

Anomali Cafe & Kitchen in Pontianak is a wonderful place to enjoy good food, a relaxing atmosphere, and great service. The dishes are consistently delicious, well-prepared, and flavorful, making it a reliable spot whether you come for a full meal or just a light bite. Their cakes are also a highlight—soft, tasty, and perfect for dessert or an afternoon treat. One of the things I appreciate most is the fast and attentive service. The staff are friendly, responsive, and make sure that orders come out quickly, which is perfect for people who are working or in a bit of a hurry. The ambience is calm and comfortable, making this café an excellent choice for Work From Café (WFC). The seating is cozy, the environment is quiet enough to focus, and the overall vibe feels relaxing. They also provide a smoking room area, which is convenient for guests who need it without disturbing others. Although the prices are a bit on the higher side, the quality of the food, drinks, and overall experience makes it feel worth it. Anomali Cafe & Kitchen is a great spot to unwind, work, or enjoy good food in a peaceful setting.
